Babcock University, Ilishan in Ogun state has matriculated 3,258 new students, charging them to discover the purpose and significance of life through a deeper understanding of humanity and society. The President/Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Ademola Tayo, delivered this message on Tuesday during the matriculation ceremony for the new students, comprising nationals from Chad, Benin, Togo, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Ghana, Gabon, South Africa, Côte d’Ivoire, and Nigeria. Professor Tayo emphasised that the ultimate goal of university education is to develop intellectuals with the capacity to perceive phenomena holistically and critically.
